Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program is the first and only supply chain certification that encompasses the end-to-end global supply chain. APICS CSCP designees gain the skills to effectively manage global supply chain activities that involve suppliers, plants, distributors, and customers located around the world. Earning the CSCP credential makes you a recognized expert in the supply chain field. This professional distinction sets you apart from your colleagues, proving your high level of knowledge and skills. It makes you a more valuable asset to your organization, keeping you and your organization more competitive in today’s economy. Since its launch in 2006, more than 25,000 professionals in 100 countries have earned the CSCP designation.

The CSCP certification has a total of eight modules:

  • CSCP, Module 1: Supply Chains, Demand Management, and Forecasting
  • CSCP, Module 2: Global Supply Chain Networks
  • CSCP, Module 3: Sourcing Products and Services
  • CSCP, Module 4: Internal Operations and Inventory
  • CSCP, Module 5: Forward and Reverse Logistics
  • CSCP, Module 6: Supply Chain Relationships
  • CSCP, Module 7: Supply Chain Risk
  • CSCP, Module 8: Optimization, Sustainability, and Technology

Time Commitment

We understand, learning takes time. Below is a breakdown of our instruction time for CSCP:

  • CSCP:
    • 48 hours of instruction (one 3-hour session per week for 16 weeks)
    • 3.5 hours of exam time consisting of 150 computer-based questions

 

Pre-Requisites for CSCP

ASCM has revised its CSCP eligibility requirements:  To continuously improve ASCM certifications and encourage all interested learners to earn their designation, we have decided to eliminate the eligibility requirements for the market-leading Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program. Certification Process

The process to get a CSCP certification consists of the following steps:

  • Step 1: Confirm your eligibility above for the CSCP preparatory course.
  • Step 2: Sign up for a our CSCP preparatory course. Attend the sessions and learn from others!
  • Step 3: Upon completion of the course, register for your exam. Information will be provided by your instructor.
  • Step 4: Pass your CSCP exam. Achieve a score of at least 300; Score range is 200 to 350.

After passing, you must maintain your certification by earning a total of 75 Continuing Education credits (CE) every 5 years. Continuing Education are earned by participating at events with us at the local chapter, such as our PDMs, workshops, or Plant Tours.
